We are currently living in a pandemic that has caused great loss of loved ones, jobs and peace of mind. So many people are panicking and not sure of what is to come. A lot of people are making emotional decisions regarding their lives. In times like this you can either panic or pivot. I want to encourage you to pivot and not panic. I want to share 5 ways of how you can bounce back in tough times.
- Count your Blessings! We can find reasons to complain but what good will it do. Stop and count your blessings. You may not be where you want to be but you are not where you use to be. So count every blessing that God gives and express gratitude because it could be worse.
- Find a Place of Release. So many times, we try to be the strong one and act has if we have it together all of the time. Leaving us feeling frustrated and helpless when we are alone with our thoughts and our situations. So it is important to find a place to release everything that you are carrying. I find that place in prayer and I journal to release what I am feeling or dealing with. You need to be able to release the load, stop trying to do life on your own. This is the perfect time to include God in your life. Let Him be the one to carry your load.
- Look for the Solution! Many times we are so busy looking at our problem and what is not going right until we forget to look for a way out. How can I come out of this? What do I need to change? Look for ways to make the situation better or help you to cope with where you are. Don’t look at your issue, look for the opportunity. The opportunity to get better and be better.
- Start! Once you find a solution that will work for you, do it. So many times we can collect all the steps but do NOTHING! Don’t let that be your story in 2020, Take action! Do what you know to do so you can get the results you want. If there is something you don’t know, find the answers and then do the thing. No more excuses of why you can’t, think about why you can.
- Grow in Grace! When tough times hit and the pressure becomes more than we can bear, the real us shows up. Who you really are, shows up in hard times. During this time for me, I have learned more about myself. What I need to work on? Changes I need to make but during these times it can be hard. You can feel like a failure because you have tried so many times and it didn’t work out. You can feel like your situation is hopeless but grow in grace. Give yourself some grace to grow. Don’t beat yourself up but really take time to allow yourself to grow without the expectation of being perfect.
